I'd say that's $3 well spent for 18 drink coasters! I chuckled when I read "sassy kitchen" or something of that nature labeled on the bin. I passed up the retro aprons, recipe cards and thermo mug...it was tough to turn the other cheek but I knew I didn't need them. Chris thought they were a little too sexist, especially for Michael's sake, but the retro chick in me couldn't resist. Now, all I need is a coffee table (still can't believe I've never owned one!). Bring it on condensation!
Anyone else hit the jackpot in the $1.00 nifty knick knacks bins recently?

Those are too cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with this new dollar craze, but have learned to be selective with my purchases. At first I would just buy everything :).
I agree, there is something about $1 knick-knacks that is very appealing! Those dollars can add up quickly if you're not careful. :) I like the coasters!
ReplyDeleteThose coasters are really cute! Are you considering a coffee table purchase? I'd love to see what you'd pick out!
ReplyDeleteI love those coasters too! I didn't own a coffee table until last month when my husband insisted that we needed one to keep our pizza while playing Xbox 360.
ReplyDeleteI heard about the Michael's bins. Apparently they've marked a bunch of it down to like 5 for $1. I'm heading over there in the morning. By the way, if you like the retro stuff, you should check out a blog that I just love

She is crass, cusses like a sailor (no virgin ears!) but her writing style is witty and I seriously roll laughing every time I read her blog. Subject matter is about raising 2 toddlers, but she also posts these vintage ads from the '20's that you will just love!
Hi Kendall! I checked out the site you suggested and I must say, the vintage ads she features are priceless! Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteI love the $1 section at Target. I got a lot of my sons stocking stuffers for Christmas for a $1 or less from there.
ReplyDeleteI recently picked up some cute black and white houndstooth notecards in the $1 section at Michael's. Everything was on super clearance so I got them for 33 cents. Can't beat that!! :)
I love peeking into the Dollar Bins at stores - Target and Micheals have a great selection. I'll have to stop in there and get some Retro coasters - they would make fun little gifts too
