Shabby Geek

You know what they say, one man's trash is another man's treasure. That was the case when we came across this box 2 years ago.

It's a floppy disk rave! Isn't it fabulous? Until today, the diskette's had been trapped in the closet (no correlation to R. Kelly).

We are in the midst of developing a few google sketchup ideas for these now obsolete, tile-like, storage devices. Until then.

  2. @Heather: These little guys take me back to my early college years. Feels like forever ago! We are not quite sure what we are going to do with the disks just yet so we may need your input. :)

  3. Oh my gosh... I cannot wait to see what you guys do for this.

I feel young because by the time I was really utilizing the computer these were nonexistent.

  5. Holla back! What an incredible idea! I'm a research dork and found a few interesting ideas:

What about a mural? Something like this, only a family portrait instead of Super Mario: http://www.gearfuse.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/floppymario.jpg

OR what about these floppy disk pen holders? http://images.teamsugar.com/files/users/1/15111/28_2007/floppy-disk-pen-set.jpg

Or as an art sculpture? http://media.techeblog.com/images/computerparts_5.jpg
